NHL Player Safety sidelined the Chicago rookie following a dangerous third-period collision that sent New York's top scorer to the locker room for a medical evaluation.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Frank Nazar has been suspended for two games by NHL Player Safety for his illegal check to the head on New York Islanders captain Bo Horvat at 18:27 of the third period in Thursday's 4-1 Islanders victory: 

Here was the play, where Nazar received a five-minute major and a match penalty for the hit:

Horvat was forced to go down the tunnel, likely due to concussion protocol. He was still being evaluated when we spoke with head coach Pete DeBoer on Friday morning. 

Through four games this season, Horvat has four goals and one assist.
