Chicago’s forward faces potential discipline following a dangerous third-period collision that forced the Isles’ leading scorer from the game and triggered an automatic match penalty.
Chicago Blackhawks forward Frank Nazar will have a hearing for an illegal check to the head on New York Islanders captain Bo Horvat at 18:27 of the third period.
It is believed to be over the phone which carries a max suspension of five games:
Nazar received a five-minute major and a match penalty for the hit:
Horvat was forced to go down the tunnel, likely due to concussion protocol. He was still being evaluated when we spoke with head coach Pete DeBoer on Friday morning.
Through four games this season, Horvat has four goals and one assist.
