Columbus bolsters their blue line depth, inviting the former Islander and Ranger to training camp as he battles for a roster spot following his stint in Elmont.
On Sunday, the Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they had signed former New York Islanders defenseman Carson Soucy to a Professional Tryout.
The Islanders acquired Soucy from the cross-town rival New York Rangers on Jan. 26 for a 2026 third-round pick, marking just the fourth straight in NHL history between those two teams and just the second one in 50 years.
In 30 games with the Islanders, Soucy recorded two goals and two asssits with 20 penalty minutes and sat at a -10, averaging 15:27 minutes per game.
