On Tuesday, the New York Islanders announced that they will not be renewing the contract of general manager Lou Lamoriello.

Operating Partner John Collins will be leading the search for the club's next general manager. 

Under Lamoriello's tenure, which began in 2018, the Islanders made the playoffs in five of the eight seasons, but missed the playoffs in two of the last four.
