Max Dorrington brings his gritty two-way play to the Florida Panthers' system, joining Savannah after a productive ECHL campaign and a breakout collegiate career at Sacred Heart.
Former Bridgeport Islanders forward Max Dorrington has signed with the Savannah Ghost Pirates, the Florida Panthers' ECHL affiliate, for the 2026-27 season.
Dorrington, 24, spent the last two seasons in the Islanders organization after playing five years of collegiate hockey. The Massachussets native played four year sat St. Lawrence University before concluding his collegiate career at Sacred Heart University in 2024-25.
Following the end of what was a breakout season with 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points in 38 games, Dorrington signed an ATO with Bridgeport, playing seven games.
He recorded one assist over that span before signing an AHL deal for the 2025-26 season.
However, Dorringont would play only two games for Bridgeport—recording a goal and an assist—after spending 68 games with the Worcester Railers, the Islanders' ECHL affiliate.
He recorded seven goals with 14 assists for 21 points over that span with 57 penalty minutes.
