Former New York Islanders forward and Stanley Cup champion Kyle Okposo has taken a role with the NHL Players Association

Okposo, 37, retired from the NHL after hoisting the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers in 2024.

"I’m thrilled to join the NHLPA at this time of growth opportunities for the players,” Okposo said. “I was involved with the PA over the course of my career, and I have seen firsthand the staff’s work on behalf of players. I am excited to add my perspective and experience to that work and further expand opportunities for NHLPA members.” (H/t NHL PA)

In 529 regular season games in Blue & Orange, Okposo scored 139 goals with 230 assists for 369 points.

He ended his career with 614 points (242 goals, 272 assists) in 1,501 regular season games.
