Hometown product Brandon Scanlin returns to Hamilton, bringing NHL experience and veteran blue-line stability to the Hammers after 255 games within the New York Rangers system.
The Hamilton Hammers announced on Thursday that they have signed left-shot defenseman and Hamilton native Brandon Scanlin to an AHL deal:
Scanlin, who played three seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, signed with the New York Rangers organization following the conclusion of the 2021-22 collegiate season.
Over his five years with the Islanders' cross-town rivals, Scanlin has played in 255 AHL regular season games. He did play one NHL game with the Rangers during the 2023-24 season.
