Sorokin is appearing in his 194th career game on Thursday night.

The puck has dropped in St. Louis, which means New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin has now appeared in his 194th career game.

With this appearance, he now passes former Islanders netminder Thomas Greiss to sit alone for fourth in franchise history:

Given his eight-year deal, if things go well, Sorokin will likely finish his career second all-time in games played for the franchise.

No one is passing Billy Smith's 680 appearances, or 642 starts, for that matter.

Sorokin has a way to go to catch Smith in wins (304), too, trailing the Hockey Hall of Famer by 208, sitting with 96.
