Fans unleashed their creativity for a chance to define New York’s look. Now, five finalists await a final vote to determine which design hits the ice.
On July 9, the New York Islanders opened up a competition, the first of its kind, where they allowed fans to submit designs for their 2027-28 third jersey.
The fans could mix and match 15 different patterns, choosing from nine logos and over 50 colors.
The competition came to a close on July 24.
What happens now is the Islanders' front office, along with input from players, will choose five jerseys that fans will vote on in August.
The winner of the competition will receive a team-signed third jersey and tickets to the when the jersey makes its debut.
