New York Islanders defenseman Adam Boqvist missed Thursday's practice due to an apparent upper-body injury.
The 24-year-old waiver acquisition sustained the injury with 15:13 to play in the second period. He did not return.
After dumping the puck into the Kings' zone, Boqvist took contact a few seconds later and it doesn't seem he had any idea that Fiala was coming.
He didn't brace for impact, leading to what appears to be an upper-body injury:
If Boqvist does have to miss time, with the Islanders back in action on Friday night against the Edmonton Oilers, we likely see Scott Mayfield come in.
But could we see Scott Perunovich for the first time since Feb. 25?
Or, is it time to get Mike Reilly back into a game for the first time since Nov. 1?
