Coming over from the New Jersey Devils at the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline for defenseman Dennis Cholowski, Beckman had success on a struggling Bridgeport team with seven points (four goals, three assists) in 12 games.

Beckman has served five of the eight games and will have to miss the first three games of Bridgeport's 2025-26 season.

Drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the third round (No. 75) of the 2019 NHL Draft, Beckman has appeared in 23 NHL games, with three assists.

Depending on how he plays under Rocky Thompson, he could be a call-up option for Patrick Roy at some point this season as a bottom-six forward.
