New York Islanders captain Anders Lee and his teammates are gearing up for a Jam Kancer in the Kan charity event at Northwell Ice Center.

New York Islanders captain and King Clancy Finalist Anders Lee has been doing phenomenal work for Jam Kancer in the Kan, raising money to help families battling childhood cancer since 2016.

Now, he's bringing the event to the Islanders' practice facility in East Meadow, as he will host an event on Sept. 16:

For those that do not know, a Kancer Jam, as founder Jamey Crimmins calls the events,  is a Kan Jam tournament that people pay to participate in, where the profits go to the Jam Kancer in the Kan foundation.

Since Lee hosted his first Jam Kancer event in February of 2018, it has sparked support from other players around the NHL. Since Lee's first event, players from the New York Rangers, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Buffalo Sabres decided to hold their own Kancer Jams.

Those events have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for families, all because of Lee's commitment.
