The New York Islanders have made a few significant moves to their roster this offseason.
The departure of Noah Dobson and the additions of Jonathan Drouin, Emil Heineman, Max Shabanov, and others have added unknowns to the Islanders' lineup.
Following these changes, here is an idea how the depth chart shapes out:

* denotes can play wing
** denotes can play the other wing
Of the forwards who are likely to fight for a roster spot, only Shabanov is waiver-exempt. Maxim Tsyplakov has not yet signed a contract, opting instead for salary arbitration.

Of the defenders who could make the NHL roster, Isaiah George and Matthew Schaefer are waiver-exempt.

Here's what a cap-compliant 23-man roster could look like for the Islanders, with the assumption that Tsyplakov's new deal comes in under $3 million:
Forwards (14):
Drouin-Horvat-Palmieri
Lee-Barzal-Holmstrom
Duclair-Pageau-Shabanov
Tsyplakov-Cizikas-Heineman
MacLean-Gatcomb
Defense (7):
Romanov-DeAngelo
Pelech-Pulock
Schaefer-Mayfield
Boqvist
Goaltenders (3):
Sorokin
Rittich
Varlamov (LTIR)
