On Monday at 5 PM ET, we learned that the cream "Islanders" jersey and the navy lighthouse sweater had advanced to the finals of the 2027-28 third jersey contest:

Forward Mathew Barzal was the one to let the fans know and he made it clear that while he'd wear both of them, his eyes are set on the cream sweater:

As stated in the video, Barzal says that the cream sweater has a Winter Classic vibe, also citing that he’d want to make some adjustments to the lighthouse one, adding a little more flavor to it.

The lighthouse logo is something many fans have been longing for, while the cream look is something completely brand new and different.
