Mathew Barzal, Matias Maccelli, and Ryan Pulock inch closer to a return, hitting the ice for consecutive morning sessions as New York’s blue line and offense regain strength.
After joining the team for the start of Wednesday's practice, forwards Mathew Barzal (left knee) and Matias Maccelli (lower body), along with defenseman Ryan Pulock (upper body) skated again on Thursday morning during the club's optional morning skate.
Maccelli, who sustained his upper-body injury in the team's 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, was initially given a 2-4-week timeline. We are in week three.
Pulock, who sustained an upper-body injury in their 4-3 overtime win against the Minnesota Wild, was given a timeline of 2-4 weeks.
Barzal, who had been skating on his own since Oct. 8, is out indefinitely as he works his way back from left knee inflammation.
Cal Ritchie, who sustained an injury in that game against Toronto, has not skated. His timeline was 4-6 weeks.
