Ryan Pulock exited Thursday's matchup against Minnesota following a physical first-period collision, leaving New York’s blue line shorthanded as they battle through a mounting list of injuries.
The New York Islanders lost defenseman Ryan Pulock for the rest of their game against the Minnesota Wild after he sustained an upper-body injury early in the first period.
Pulock took just two shifts before being ruled out.
The Islanders will play the rest of the game with just five defenseman, not having the luxury of the extra defenseman they had when they played with 11 forwards and seven blueliners in their 4-3 shootout win against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.
Defenseman Matthew Kessel is currently serving as the team's seventh defenseman.
Expect him to play on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers if Pulock is unable to go.
This story will be udpated.
