#Isles announce that they have hired Ryan Bowness as Assistant General Manager & Director of Player Personnel.
He was previously the AGM for Ottawa and the GM of Bellville, their AHL affiliate.
The 41-year-old, who is the son of longtime NHL head coach Rick Bowness, had served as the Ottawa Senators assistant general manager and general manager of the Bellville Senators, the club's AHL affiliate.
This past season, Belville stuggled, finishing with a 34-27-6-5 record, sixth in the North Division.
Before his time with Ottawa, Bowness served as a pro scout for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets and was named Director of Professional Scouting for the Penguins in the 2019-20 season.
He won a Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh back in 2017.
Bowness did play hockey professionally, playing one season with the Ontario Reign when they were part of the ECHL back in 2008-09 after a four-year collegiate career at St. Mary's Univeristy.
Chris Lamoriello remains an assistant general manager general manager of the Bridgeport Islanders. Stephen Pellegrini remains an assistant general manager as well.
Both were given multi-year extensions prior to Darche coming aboard.
Darche was part of a three assistant genearl manager team with the Tampa Bay Lightning, so it shouldn't be surprising that he's mimicking that here.
