    As Canada took on Slovakia at the IIHF World Championships in Stockholm, New York Islanders defenseman Noah Dobson connected with Pittsburgh Penguins icon Sidney Crosby for a power-play goal in their Saturday game against Slovakia. 

    The goal came at 6:58 of the third period, with Canada leading the game 5-0. Crosby took the puck down the left side behind the net, dishing the puck back up top to Dobson. The defenseman let a shot go from the left point, finding Crosby at the side of the net for a tap-in to make it 6-0:

    Dobson wasn’t the only Islander to crack the stats sheet for Canada, as center Bo Horvat added a helper of his own on a Nathan MacKinnon goal in the second. The team finished with a 7-0 victory. 

    Through six games in the tournament, Dobson has a goal and two assists for three points. It’s his first time representing his country at the event. Horvat’s also impressed for Canada, boasting four goals and four assists for eight points in the same span. 

    Canada continues their preliminary round action against Finland on Monday, puck drop is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. in Stockholm, 2:20 p.m. on the East Coast,
