New York Islanders prospect and Boston University forward Cole Eiserman will not play this weekend against Merrimack College but is expected to return to practice next week, per Jay Pandolfo.
Eiserman, the Islanders' 2024 first-round pick (No. 20), sustained a lower-body injury against the University of Connecticut on October 25th and was seen using crutches following the game.
Coach Pandolfo stated Eiserman is doing well, but the team is going to take it slower after what initially appeared to be a potentially long-term injury.
Eiserman has six goals and eight points through his first seven games of this season. He led all freshmen in goals last season with 25.
