Add another accolade to New York Islanders prospect Cole Eiserman’s freshman season at Boston University.
Eiserman, 18, has just been named to the Hockey East Conference All-Rookie team:
Through 33 regular season games at BU this year, Eiserman has scored 20 goals, tallied nine assists for 29 points.
He’s the fourth freshman in school-history since 1990 with a 20-plus goal freshman season. Eiserman joins the likes of Jack Eichel, Clayton Keller, and Macklin Celebrini. All great players in the NHL.
Eiserman has two hat tricks this season, including the most recent one last week against Providence College.
Since the Islanders drafted Eiserman 20th overall in the first round of the 2024 NHL entry draft, he has done nothing but impress.
Along with a successful college campaign, Eiserman won gold at the world junior championship for team USA in January.
James Hagens, a Long Island native and potential number one draft pick this year, is also on the all-rookie team with Eiserman. H
Hagens plays his collegiate hockey at Boston College and also won gold at the WJC.
Eiserman and the BU Terriers start their Hockey East tournament run on Saturday at 4:30 pm, opponent TBD.
