
Sunday, June 1, marked the deadline for the New York Islanders to sign prospect Justin Gill to his entry-level contract. They chose not to, confirmed by The Hockey News and PuckPedia, as the 22-year-old will re-enter the NHL Draft.
Gill, selected in the fifth round (No. 145) of the 2022 NHL Draft, joined the Bridgeport Islanders on an AHL contract for the 2024-25 season after completing his QMJL career.
He scored seven points (one goal, six assists) in 35 games in Bridgeport, as well as 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 23 games with the Worcester Railers, the Islanders ECHL affiliate.
