Per The Athletic, the New York Islanders rank 29th in contract efficiency.

Coincidentally enough, six of the seven contracts in the blue are deals that new general manager Matheiu Darche signed.

The only "positive value" deal that he didn't sign was Mathew Barzal's eight-year deal worth $9.15 million annually.

    Maxim Tsyplakov: 2x$2.25M

    Jonathan Drouin: 2x$4M

    Simon Holmstrom: 2x$3.625M

    Emil Heineman: 2x$1.1M

    Tony DeAngelo: 1x$1.75M

    David Rittich: 1x$1M

The contract with the worst value, per The Athletic, is Ryan Pulock's. He has five years left at $6.25 million annually, which came in at 7.5% in terms of positive value.

Of the forwards, Casey Cizikas' deal, which has two years left at $2.5 million annually, comes in with an 8.25% positive value.

The two best contract are Tsyplakov's (89.4% positive value) and DeAngelo's (95.5%).
