The New York Islanders have recalled defenseman Isaiah George from Bridgeport (AHL) as Ryan Pulock is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
George has recorded 17 points (two goals, 15 assists) in 45 games with Bridgeport this season. He has also appeared in two NHL games, registering one assist.
Pulock missed Sunday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets after appearing in 67 of the team’s first 70 games this season, where he has 25 points (three goals, 22 assists).
Adam Boqvist filled Pulock’s spot in the lineup and is expected to remain in for Tuesday night’s matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks at UBS Arena.
At Tuesday morning’s skate, Boqvist was paired with Scott Mayfield on the third pair, while Matthew Schaefer skated on the right side of the top pair alongside Adam Pelech, while Carson Soucy and Tony DeAngelo were on the second pair.
Puck drop against the Blackhawks is set for 7:00 PM ET.
