Management trimmed the roster by returning four prospects to juniors, headlined by standout defenseman Dravecky, as the lineup begins to crystallize ahead of Tuesday’s rivalry clash.
EAST MEADOW, NY -- The New York Islanders have sent four players back to juniors, signaling their first cuts of training camp.
Dravecky was the most impressive of the bunch after the Islanders selected him in the fifth round of the 2026 NHL Draft. After playing for Jay McKee in Brantford in 2025-26, he'll play for the Guelph Storm, who are hosting the Memorial Cup this season.
The Islanders are expected to make a bigger cut following their Tuesday night preseason game against the New York Rangers.
