On Tuesday, the New York Islanders announced that they 2025 second-round pick Daniil Prokhorov had put to paper on his three-year entry-level deal.

The No. 45 selection in this past draft had recently signed a two-way, two-year deal with the KHL's Dynamo Moscow after completing a professional tryout with them.

He has previously played the last two seasons in the MHL, a junior league, with St. Petersburgh Dynamo JR., recording 20 goals with seven assists for 27 points in 43 games.

By signing his ELC with the Islanders, that allows him, if he wants, to opt out of his deal with Dynamo Moscow and come play in North America as soon as this season after the OHL's Sarnia Sting selected him in the second round of the 2025 CHL Import Draft.
