With over 75,000 entries flooding in, the All-Star playmaker weighs in on the creative surge and reveals his personal vision for the team’s future alternate look.

On July 9, the New York Isladners announced that they would be holding a competition, where fans would get to design their 2027-28 third jerseys. 

Since the competition started, the Islanders have received over 75,000 submissions. 

Star forward Mathew Barzal was asked by the pal Jonny Lazarus at Fanatics Fest about the competition and what his design would be:

The competition comes to a close on Friday, July 24. 

A team committee, consisting of executives, players and staff will narrow the submissions down to five finalists before Islanders fans get to vote their favorite.
