The Sound Beach native brings hockey’s ultimate prize home to Hauppauge and Freeport, celebrating a magical championship run that began on local ice and peaked on the world stage.
Sound Beach, Long Island native and Stanley Cup champion goaltender Brandon Bussi will have his day with the Stanley Cup next Wednesday.
Not only will he be taking the hardest trophy to win in all of sports to The Rinx in Hauppauge, the place where his NHL dream began, but he'll also be taking it to the Nautical Mile in Freeport.
Bussi, 28, went 6-2-0 in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, recording a 2.44 GAA with an .895 SV% in what was a magical run for the Long Island native who spent the better part of five seasons in professional hockey before getting a chance on the big stage.
