

Dennis Schneidler-Imagn ImagesLong Island native Matt Coronato signed a seven-year, $45.5 million contract ($6.5 million AAV) with the Calgary Flames, set to begin in the 2025-26 season.
Coronato, 22, broke out as one of Calgary’s best forwards in 2024-25, scoring 47 points (24 goals, 23 assists) in 77 games, including a two-goal performance against the New York Islanders on March 22.
The Flames selected him with the 13th pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.
He has 56 points (27 goals, 29 assists) in 112 career games.
The extension leaves the Huntington, New York native in Calgary through the 2031-32 season, when he will be 29 years old.
