The 24-year-old, who scored seven goals and had 15 assists in 81 games in Year 2 on Long Island, played two seasons for CSKA Moscow (2018-2020).

Fellow Islanders' Russians Ilya Sorokin and Semyon Varlamov will not be playing.

Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin, New York Rangers Artemi Panarin, and 2024 Stanley Cup champion Sergei Bobrovsky are three of the biggest names at the event, with the NHL team to be coached by Igor Larionov, Alexei Zhamnov, and Sergei Zubov.

On the KHL side, former Islanders forward Anatoli Golyshev will compete, a European free agent the club signed back in March of 2021. He played 15 games with the Bridgeport Islanders but never got an opportunity at the NHL level.

Romanov is entering the final year of a three-year deal worth $7.5 million ($2.5 M AAV) and is eligible to sign an extension on July 1.
