As the Bridgeport Islanders prepare for the 2024-25 season, the team made two major announcements on Thursday.
Along with their campaign schedule, the club announced a new logo and jerseys to further align with their parent club in New York.
The new logo pays homage to the New York Islanders’ fisherman logo from the mid-90s, which they’ve used an altered version of on their alternate jersey.
Unlike the previous incarnation, the logo also features a “Bridgeport” wordmark on top of the team’s name. The logo also uses less teal and more royal blue, orange, and gray.

The altered logo takes center stage on the team’s uniforms; only a white version was displayed in a video released on X. The rest of the jersey remains unchanged.
Moving to the schedule, the team previously announced their season opener will be at home against the Providence Bruins on Oct. 12.
Common opponents on the slate include the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, Hartford Wolf Pack, and the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Other games on the docket come against the Syracuse Crunch, Belleville Senators, Laval Rocket, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and Toronto Marlies.
