The NHL has officially released the New York Islanders first-round playoff schedule.

The NHL has officially released the New York Islanders first-round playoff schedule.

The New York Islanders begin their 2024 Stanley Cup Playoff battle against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday at 5 PM.

After the NHL announced Game 1 on Wednesday during their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, we were waiting for the official release of the first-round schedule.

On Friday morning, ahead of the Islanders' final practice before heading to Raleigh, the NHL shared the schedule:

In scheduling quirks, the teams will have two days off as the series transitions between Raleigh and Elmont for Games 2 and 3. For the second straight year, Game 4 will feature a matinee start time, with puck drop scheduled for 2:00.

Game times from Games 5-7 will remain TBD until it's known if the Islanders, or any other teams around the league, will need those games to finish their matchups.

As the series begins, revenge is on the Islanders' minds. The team is 0-2 lifetime against Carolina in the playoffs, most recently dropping last year's series in six games.

A reminder that all first-round series games can be watched locally on MSGSN.
