With the NHL shifting jersey manufacturing duties from Adidas to Fanatics next season, the New York Islanders will be saying goodbye to their alternate sweaters.

With the NHL shifting jersey manufacturing duties from Adidas to Fanatics next season, the New York Islanders are probable for a notable change to their jersey lineup.

According to Icethetics, the team will drop their longtime alternate sweater from the beginning of the Adidas era, ending a six-year run.

Icethetics producer Chris Smith, an NHL jersey watcher on X and YouTube, shared this news is his recent upload discussing league-wide sweater changes

This Islanders' alternate jersey made its debut on Nov. 2, 2019, at Barclays Center against the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was worn for select games from that season on before taking the ice for the final time at UBS Arena on April 6 against the Nashville Predators.

No other changes are expected for the Islanders, meaning their home and away jerseys will likely go untouched.

Word on a new Islanders alternate jersey was not shared. In the Adidas era, the Islanders wore two Reverse Retro jerseys, including the Fisherman adaptation, as well as a Stadium Series sweater.

Although a release date for the new uniforms across the league has yet to be announced, it will likely be before the 2024 NHL Draft in Las Vegas, which begins on June 28.

This is a developing story, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
