A painting of a famous New York Islanders goal hangs at the home of the Florida Panthers. We don't know why, but we wanted to share.

SUNRISE, FL -- The Florida Panthers will always hold a special place in the hearts of the New York Islanders.

On Apr. 25, 2016, the Islanders hosted Florida at Barclays Center for Game Six of round one.

The Islanders could taste a second-round playoff berth, something they hadn't accomplished since 1993.

With the Islanders down a goal 1-0, John Tavares lit the lamp in the final minute of regulation before winning the game in double overtime, courtesy of a wraparound goal against former ISlanders netminder and Hockey Hall of Famer Roberto Luongo:

That goal, regardless of how the fan base views Tavares now, is one of the organization's most important goals.

While it sent the Islanders into a frenzy, it was a killer for the Panthers, who finished the season as the best team in the Atlantic Division and had their eyes set on the Stanley Cup.

And for some reason, Tavares' wraparound goal hangs in The Amerant Vault at the Panthers Arena.

The Amerant Vault is the most exclusive viewing experience at Amerant Bank Arena. The one-of-a-kind, premium lounge provides the perfect sightlines to be center ice for games and concerts! All food, beer, wine, and soda are completely complimentary.
