Pageau is in the midst of a bounce-back season.
EAST MEADOW, NY -- New York Islanders forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau is back at practice.
The 32-year-old, who suffered a lower-body injury in the third period of their 6-3 loss to the Boston Bruins on Nov. 27, missed the last two games with a lower-body injury.
He took warmups against the Washington Capitals this past Friday but was a late scratch, missing Saturday's 3-0 shutout win against the Buffalo Sabres.
Simon Holmstrom skated on the top line in his absence, putting up back-to-back multi-goal games.
Pageau has five goals and five assists in 23 games this season and has won 60.4% of his face-offs to lead the team.
He will be a game-time decision against the Montreal Canadiens, skating alongside Kyle MacLean and Oliver Wahlstrom if he does get in.
