Foudy has four assists in five games for Bridgeport.

After New York Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello told us that forward Anthony Duclair would be out more long-term than short-term, he added that the team would be recalling someone from Bridgeport once Julien Gauthier passed through waivers.

As for who that player may be, there were a ton of options.

"Everybody's in the conversation. Everybody," Lamoriello said. "It could be who's played the best there. We'll have that discussion today."

The answer is Liam Foudy, who has four assists in five games (he's a +4) with Bridgeport, playing alongside Fredrik Karlstrom and Matthew Maggio.

The former 18th overall pick by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2018 is coming off a 10-goal, six-assist season with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals, playing 13 total NHL games, 12 with the Nashville Predators, earning three assists.

He signed a one-year deal worth $775,000 on July 10.
