Legends from the New York Islanders and New York Rangers will lace up the skates at Northwell Ice Center at the end of January for the 2024 Alumni Classic.

The New York Islanders and New York Rangers aren’t scheduled to cross paths until the 2024 NHL Stadium Series at MetLife Stadium.

However, the two teams will come together for a good cause, with the Islanders their annual Legends Laceup at Northwell Health Ice Center on Jan. 28.

The two teams shared rosters for the event, and the Islanders’ group features names across the last 30 years of the team’s history. Islanders’ participants include Shawn Bates, Marty Reasoner, Eric Cairns, and Benoit Hogue. Johnny Boychuk, Dennis Seidenberg, and Matt Moulson headline the most recent alumni participating.

Darius Kasparaitis will also make an appearance, representing the Rangers.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Northwell Health Foundation. General admission seats start at $35, but the teams will offer various seating options and unique experiences for fans to get involved.

Fan packages available include a VIP meet-and-greet with participating alumni, a group on-ice photo, and chances to coach and play alongside the teams’ greats. Another package allows for fans to meet one of the players and receive a jersey off their back; these options are limited.

This is the third straight year the New York rivals will come together for an alumni faceoff. The teams first hosted the event in 2022. The game also lines up with the Islanders’ annual Alumni Weekend, the team hosts the Florida Panthers at UBS Arena on Jan. 27.

Further updates to the roster are expected, and participating alumni are subject to change. More information about the Legends Laceup is available at this link
