The New York Islanders head to Philadelphia to battle the Flyers at Wells Fargo Center Thursday night. Puck drop is slated for 7 PM ET.

The Islanders did not hold a morning skate on Thursday.

We will talk with Islanders head coach Lane Lambert and a few players prior to game time, likely around 4:45 PM ET.

This is a back-to-back situation as the Islanders finish off their preseason Friday night when they host the New Jersey Devils.

Lambert did mention Thursday afternoon that with eight days before the start of the regular season, we could see players play in both games.

    WHO TO WATCH:

Oliver Wahlstrom: Wahlstrom did not take advantage of his preseason game Monday night, struggling with timing alongside Karson Kuhlman and Ruslan Iskhakov. On the power play, he bobbled the puck and rang the post. With the way Hudson Fasching and Julien Gauthier have played, the 22-year-old needs to have a statement game.

Simon Holmstrom: The young forward did not skate Monday night, and with Kyle Palmieri back at practice, he's in jeopardy of not just losing a spot in the Islanders lineup but starting the season in Bridgeport, given that he is waiver-exempt.

Samuel Bolduc: Right now, Boludc is in a battle with Sebastian Aho for the sixth and final defense spot. He's currently second in the race, but a strong showing could turn the tide after Aho struggled Monday, like the rest of the game group.

NOTES: Kyle Palmieri returned to team practice after battling an undisclosed injury. He is unlikely to play in a preseason game.

HOW TO WATCH: Tonight's game will be available on NBCSP, ESPN+ (working to see if blackout will be lifted in NY). The game can also be found on Islanders team site, as a stream. There will be no MSG broadcast.
