    Eiserman to Nelson. Bang.

    Eiserman to Nelson. Bang.

Islanders prospects Cole Eiserman and Danny Nelson are off to a great start in the 2025 World Junior Championships.

In the opening game for the United States, Eiserman recorded a goal and an assist, with Nelson tallying an assist to help lead the Americans to a 10-4 win over Germany.

On Saturday afternoon, in game 2 against Latvia, this duo of American Islanders prospects connected early to give Team USA the lead.

Just 1:58 into the game, Eiserman's tight shot produced a rebound, where he then passed the puck from the side of the net to Nelson at the top of the crease, who ripped it into the net.

Here is video of the goal:

Latvia is coming off a massive upset over Canada last night, a 3-2 shootout win.

The Americans are looking to defend their gold medal from last year, a team Nelson was a part of.

Nelson was drafted in the second round of the 2023 draft and plays collegiate hockey at Notre Dame.

Eiserman was the Islanders’ 20th overall selection in 2024, and is currently in his freshman season at Boston University.
