Varlamov owns a 2.89 GAA with an .889 SV%.

EAST MEADOW, NY -- The New York Islanders announced on Monday morning that goaltender Semyon Varlamov is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. 

Goalie Marcus Hogberg has been recalled from Bridgeport on an emergency basis.

The good news is that Varlamov is traveling to Montreal, and Hogberg isn't, so this injury does seem to be minor. 

Varlamov stopped 21-of-26 his last time out in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals this past Friday.

On the season, the 36-year-old is 3-4-3 with a 2.89 GAA and a .889 SV%. 

Hogberg, who the Islanders signed to a two-year deal back in May, is 2-4-3 with a 2.97 GAA with a .908 SV% in 10 starts for Bridgeport.
