The 2024 NHL Stadium Series at MetLife Stadium is 10 days away. The marquee event will feature the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers on Feb. 17 and the New York Islanders and Rangers the following day at 3 PM.
With the event fast approaching, NHL.com writer Mike Morreale shared an update on the construction of the playing surface in East Rutherford.
The league’s Mobile Refrigeration Unit arrived at MetLife Stadium on Monday to begin the process of building the rink. The Unit assists in the construction of all outdoor rinks, including for the NHL’s Heritage and Winter Classics held earlier this season.
The league typically releases renders of what the finished product will look like prior to the event, but images have yet to be seen. Those details will likely be released in the coming days.
