Good morning everyone.
Despite being in the off-season, there's New York Islanders hockey to discuss.
Wednesday night kicked off Da Beauty League, an annual summer hockey league in Minnesota filled with NHL staples and NHL hopefuls primarily from the state.
Islanders forwards and Minnesota natives Anders Lee, Brock Nelson, and Hudson Fasching, along with Bridgeport Islanders captain Seth Helgeson hit the ice for their respective teams.
Lee (1G, 2A) and Helgeson (1G, 1A) skated for Walser in their 12-6 loss to Tria, led by Nashville Predators forward Thomas Novak (4G) and Danny Kristo (5G), who players in the United Kingdom's Elite Ice Hockey League.
Here's Lee's snipe:
Here's Hellegson's tally:
Nelson had a quiet night with no points while Fasching notched an assist in The Anderson Groups' 6-4 loss to former Islander Kieffer Bellows (3G) and team Tradition.
All teams will be back in action next Wednesday, July 19th.
Earlier on Wednesday, former Islanders netminder Thomas Greiss called it a career after 14 NHL seasons.

Stan Fischler was back at the computer, state-side, as we gear up for his induction into the New York State Hockey Hall of Fame this upcoming Sunday, alongside Islanders Bryan Trottier.
In Fischler's latest, he dives into Josh Bailey. The 33-year-old doesn't have a home yet after he was bought out by the Blackhawks after general manager Lou Lamoriello shipped him to Chicago (along with a second-round pick in 2026) for future considerations. (The Hockey News)
