New York Islanders goaltender prospect Tristan Lennox has been assigned to Bridgeport, per our Stefen Rosner.
Per The Worcester Guardian's Bill Ballou, Lennox sustained a "devastating" knee injury last season, just 15 games into the 2023-24 season, his first professional season.
Lennox owned a 2.94 GAA with a .909 SV% through 13 starts before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
There was some concern that the injury could be a career-ender, but the fact that Lennox has been assigned to Bridgeport is a positive sign for the 2021 third-round pick.
With Marcus Hogberg injured after joining the New York Islanders and Jakub Skarek currently filling in as the backup, the current AHL Islanders goaltending tandem is Henrik Tikkanen and Hunter Miska.
Lennox will definitely be a boost for the team who is currently dead last in the AHL.
