On Friday, the New York Islanders announced a new partnership with Viam for AI Technology, and that partnership will be prominently displayed on their uniforms. The team announced that Viam will be the team's newest helmet sponsor for both home and away games.

“Viam is at the forefront of helping organizations manage the transformative change that comes with AI,” said Dan Griffis, President of Global Partnerships at Oak View Group, in a press release from the team. “Their commitment to innovation aligns perfectly with our own, and we look forward to not only creating new experiences for Islanders fans and all of our guests at UBS Arena but also making a dent in the sports and entertainment universe with a unique and transformational use of AI.”

Viam will also take a role in enhancing the guest experience at UBS Arena. According to the Islanders, they'll use their technology to display wait times for concessions and restrooms to help limit guest wait times and show driving patterns for cars and shuttles around the arena.

"Our partnership with UBS Arena and the New York Islanders demonstrates Viam’s ability to translate opportunities around AI and data into meaningful physical applications," said Founder and CEO Eliot Horowitz. "We’re excited to work together to set the bar for how sports and entertainment venues integrate AI and help enhance the incredible experience provided to anyone visiting the arena.”

Oak View Group, the management firm behind UBS Arena, will also adopt Viam in all of its venues to provide a similar experience and highlight sustainability and revenue strategies.

"Our commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our guests at UBS Arena is unwavering,” said John Collins, an Islanders Operating Partner. “With Viam's technology, we are confident in our ability to take that commitment to new levels, ensuring that UBS Arena can integrate AI in smart ways and continue as a state-of-the-art destination for years to come.”

The new helmet sponsorship will debut on Friday as the Islanders face the New Jersey Devils.
