There will be 90 prospects participating in the 2025 NHL Scouting Combine, including top prospects Matthew Schaefer, James Hagens. and Michael Misa.
For the New York Islanders, the combine will be valuable in deciding the first overall pick, but also their selections in the later rounds.
Schaefer sustained a shoulder injury at the World Championship in January, so his results at the combine will be a popular talking point.
He will not participate in pull-ups or bench press, according to NHL.com, but is participating in other workouts.
Hagens and Misa enter the combine healthy and will hope to push their way into contention to be the first player off the board.
The combine runs from Monday, June 2, through Friday, June 7, at KeyBank Center and LECOM HarborCenter in Buffalo.
