After hearing that New York Islanders Noah Dobson was named the NHL's Third Star of the Week, he had six points he wanted to make about the young star.
I'm not going to call Noah Dobson a latter-day Denis Potvin, nor Ken Morrow, now Stefan Persson.
But I will offer six points about the New York Islanders defenseman who was named one of the NHL's three stars of the week.
1. He's only going to get better.
2. He will be an annual contestant for the Norris Trophy.
3. He should quarterback the Islanders power play -- always.
4. When he retires, Dobson will be compared with the best defenseman in Isles history.
5. His leap forward from last season shows that his learning curve will continue soaring.
6. Almost overnight, he's become the club's young leader.
