Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy had solid numbers against the Washington Capitals over his playing career.
In 31 career games against Washington, the four-time Stanley Cup Champion went 11-12-6 with a 2.32 GAA and a .914 SV% with one shutout.
However, over his time behind an NHL bench, Roy is win-less in his last four games coaching against Washington.
In 2013-14, Roy's Colorado Avalanche went 2-0-0 against Washington, outscoring them 9-20. But from 2014-16, Roy's Avalanche squad was outscored 16-8, going 0-4-0.

Roy will coach against the Capitals on Friday afternoon at 3 PM ET for the first time since taking over on Jan. 20.
It's Black Friday, so let's look back at the last time the Islanders played a Black Friday afternoon game.
The date was Nov. 23, 2018, at the Prudential Center against the New Jersey Devils.
At 7:24 of the first period, Jordan Eberle gave the Islanders a 1-0 lead, but Taylor Hall answered at 11:48 of the second.
Then, Islanders captain Anders Lee, his first year donning the "C", gave the Islanders a 2-1 lead at 14:14 of the middle frame, assisted by Islanders legend Valterri Filppula.
The Islanders would allow the tying goal another two times, with Brian Boyle answering the Lee tally at 2:43 of the third before Marcus Johansson answered Nick Leddy's 3-2 goal (12:45) with just 11 seconds to play in regulation.
However, in overtime, Mathew Barzal played hero:

Thomas Greiss made 39 saves on 42 shots.
The Islanders desperately need another afternoon Black Friday win, especially since this is the first of a back-to-back.
Roy's group is 3-4-3 over its last 10 games. It is three points out of a wild-card spot and two points out of last place in the Eastern Conference.
