As New York looks to bolster its front office, Evan Gold's deep executive experience with the Bruins and AHL Providence makes him a prime target for the Islanders.
Former Boston Bruins assistant general manager Evan Gold could be heading to the New York Islanders, per Mark Divver.
Gold, 46, has worked for the Bruins since 2015-16 and has served as their assistant general manager since 2019-20.
Since 2023-24, he's also served as the general manager of the Providence Bruins, the club's AHL affiliate.
Gold is an analytical guy.
The Islanders currently have three assistant general managers: Ryan Bowness, Steve Pellegrini, and Chris Lamoriello.
Bowness, who is the Islanders' Director of Player Personnel, was a finalist for the Vancouver Canucks general manager job.
Lamoriello, who has one year left on his deal, will be the general manager of Hamilton for their inaugural AHL season.
Gold was a finalist in Vancouver and Toronto this summer and would be a great addition to the organization.
