In the absence of Brock Nelson, who made his Colorado Avalanche debut earlier on Saturday night, the New York Islanders were down an “A”.
Nelson had worn that letter with pride since 2020. While the Islanders may still need time to find his full-time replacement, especially with the injured Mathew Barzal a candidate, Ryan Pulock will be wearing the “A” against the San Jose Sharks, and likely the rest of the season.
