    At the 2025 Trade Deadline, New York Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello stated changes will be made this offseason as the team looks to get younger.

    With this, the expectation is that players currently on the roster will get moved, but it will not be so easy, as much of the core has trade restrictions on their contracts.

    Here is an overview of every player with a trade restriction on their deal, per PuckPedia.

    Forwards

    Mathew Barzal will be in year three of an eight-year, $73.2 million contract ($9.15 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His contract contains a 22-team modified no-trade list for the duration of the deal.

    Bo Horvat will be in year three of an eight-year, $68 million contract ($8.5 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His contract contains a full no-trade list through the 2026-27 season before becoming a 16-team no-trade list for the ensuing seasons.

    Anders Lee will be in year seven of a seven-year, $49 million contract ($7 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His contract contains a 15-team no-trade list.

    Jean-Gabriel Pageau will be in year six of a six-year, $30 million contract ($5 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His contract contains a 16-team no-trade list.

    Anthony Duclair will be in year two of a four-year, $14 million contract ($3.5 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His contract contains a full no-trade list through the 2025-26 season before becoming a 16-team no-trade list for the ensuing seasons.

    Pierre Engvall will be in year three of a seven-year, $21 million contract ($3 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His contract contains a 16-team no-trade list.

    Kyle Palmieri, set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2025, currently has a 16-team no-trade list, though it is unlikely the Islanders will trade him before his current contract expires.

    Defenseman

    Ryan Pulock will be in year four of an eight-year, $49.2 million contract ($6.15 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His contract contains a full no-trade list through the 2026-27 season before becoming a 16-team no-trade list for the ensuing seasons.

    Adam Pelech will be in year five of an eight-year, $46 million contract ($5.75 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His current full no-trade list will become a 16-team no-trade list on July 1, 2025, for the duration of the deal.

    Scott Mayfield will be in year three of a seven-year, $24.5 million contract ($3.5 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    Semyon Valramov will be in three of a four-year, $11 million contract ($2.75 million AAV) in 2025-26.

    His current full no-trade list will become a 16-team no-trade list on July 1, 2025, for the duration of the deal.

    A player having trade restrictions does not mean it is impossible to get moved, as they can still waive the restriction if they choose.
