Notably, Finley mentioned his reasoning for returning to Wisconsin for the 2025-26 season was led by his confidence in the incoming freshman class and coaching staff, as well as his desire to win as a Badger.
Despite Wisconsin going just 13-21-3 in 2024-25, Finley had 40 points (20 goals, 20 assists) in 37 games, leading the team in both goals and points.
He is returning to Wisconsin in 2025-26 for his junior season but could turn professional following his season with the Badgers.
